Getting Started

  1. Log in to your LeadMagic account

  2. Navigate to "Email Tools" > "Email Validation"

Validation Methods

  • Bulk Upload: Upload CSV, Excel, or text file and map the email column

Understanding Results

Validation Status Codes

Valid: The email address exists and will definitely receive your message.

Valid Catch All: This email might work, but the server accepts any email sent to that domain, so we can't be 100% sure.

Catch All: The email domain accepts all messages to any address, making it impossible to know if this specific address is real.

Invalid: This email address doesn't exist and your message will bounce back.

Unknown: We tried to check this email but couldn't get a clear answer about whether it works or not.

Additional Data Returned

  • MX Record: Mail exchange record for the domain

  • MX Provider: The email service provider (Gmail, Microsoft, etc.)

  • Domain: The domain portion of the email address

Best Practices

  • Validate emails before adding to your CRM

  • Refresh validation status before major campaigns

  • Set appropriate tolerance levels based on your goals
